Privacy Policy — White Paper Exam Center
Last updated: 12 August 2026
This policy explains what the White Paper Exam Center mobile app (“the app”,
com.whitepaper.mocktest) collects, why, and what choices you have.
The app is operated by White Paper Exam Center (“we”, “us”).

Who uses this app
The app is for students (classes 11 and 12) and their teachers. Students take
mock tests and submit answer sheets; teachers evaluate them. Some students are
under 18. We do not knowingly collect more information than is needed to run
the service, and we do not show advertising.
What we collect
Account information you give us
- Full name
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Password (stored only as a salted hash — we never see or store it in plain text)
- Class and stream (for example “12 / Science”), used to show you the right tests
- Role (student or teacher)
What you create in the app
- Answer sheets you upload — photographs of handwritten pages, or PDF files
- Test attempts, answers, marks, scores, evaluation feedback and rankings
Technical information collected automatically
- A device identifier (the Android ID) and platform/app version, sent as request
headers so we can secure your session and support you
- A Firebase Cloud Messaging token, so we can send you notifications about tests
and results
- Standard server logs (IP address, timestamps, error diagnostics)
Payments
- Records of plan purchases: plan name, amount, status, date and the payment
reference returned by our payment provider
- We never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are
handled entirely by Razorpay on their own secure screens.
We do not collect: location, contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, health data,
or biometric data. The app has no advertising and no advertising identifiers.
Why we use camera and file access
- Camera — only when you choose to photograph an answer sheet.
- Photos / files — only when you choose to attach an existing image or PDF.
- Notifications — to tell you a test is live, or that a result is ready.
Nothing is captured in the background. These permissions are used only at the
moment you tap the matching button, and images never leave your device except as
the answer sheet you deliberately submit.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in
- To show you the tests assigned to your class and stream
- To deliver your answer sheets to a teacher, and return the evaluated result
- To calculate scores, leaderboards and progress statistics
- To process plan purchases and keep a record of them for you
- To send notifications you would expect (test opening, result ready)
- To diagnose faults and protect the service from abuse
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for
advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with service providers who process data on our
behalf, under contract:
| Provider | Purpose | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Razorpay | Payment processing | Payment details you enter with them, purchase amount |
| Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging, Remote Config) | Notifications, app configuration | Notification token, device/app metadata |
| Cloudflare R2 | Secure file storage | Answer sheets and evaluated copies |
| Our hosting and database providers | Running the service | Account and test data |
Your teacher sees your name, your submitted answer sheet and your result — that
is the purpose of the service. Leaderboards show a student’s name, score and
percentile to other students who sat the same test.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the
rights and safety of our users.
How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account exists
- Answer sheets, attempts and results: while your account exists, so you can
revisit your history
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires
- Deleted-account data: removed or anonymised within 30 days of a verified
deletion request, except records we must retain by law
Deleting your account and data
You can ask us to delete your account and the personal data associated with it:
- In the app: Profile → Help & support → request account deletion
- By email: send a request from your registered email address to
info@whitepaperec.in with the subject “Delete my account”
We verify the request against your registered mobile or email, then delete your
account, submissions and results. Payment records are retained only where law
requires. We will confirm once the deletion is complete.
Security
Traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS; the app refuses unencrypted
connections. Access tokens are held in the device’s encrypted keystore. Files
are served through short-lived links that expire in about five minutes. Access
to production data is limited to staff who need it.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify
affected users of a breach as the law requires.
Children
Students in classes 11 and 12 are typically 16–18 years old, so some users are
minors. Accounts are created for study purposes with the involvement of a
parent, guardian or coaching institute. We do not show ads, and we do not sell
data. If you believe a child has given us information that a parent or guardian
did not intend, contact info@whitepaperec.in and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to
stop sending notifications (you can also turn notifications off in Android
settings). Write to info@whitepaperec.in and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant
changes, notify you in the app.
